About me:
Hello! And thanks for visiting my profile! "Ils commencent ici par faire pendre un homme, et puis ils lui font sont procès." Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, dit (alias) Molière (1622-1673) (They start here by hanging a man, then they give him his trial) I have taken the opportunity to study the leagl issues regarding Karla Homolka's plea bargain, since I have a background in crimonology. I have been dealing with improvments of the criminal procedure in courts and in jails in France, among way other things. When I told my mentor, a prosecutor, that the French Cour d'assises needed to be subjected to an appeals court, I was dismissed. So I changed University, and got a good note. Months later, France got an appeals' Court for the first time, regarding suspected serious crimes. I like that. With compassion to all the victims, with all respect for the defense, I think that Karla and Paul are equally guilty, since it doesn't matter "who pulled the trigger", but exactly for what remains to be seen. I base this upon what they have revealed themselves, before and after an illegal plea bargain. No fair trials have seen the light within this ongoing scandal. That goes for the prosecution as well as for the defense, i.e. for justice to come clean. I have now reached my conclusions. El Mojito This profile's contents will change all the time. Yuku help: http://help.yuku.com/help20/index.php/Main_Page Fairness; Amnesty: http://www.amnesty.org/en/contact/Canada/660 Paul Bernardo's carceral conditions equal torture, regardless of his deserving 25 years to life in prison or not. I judge a restaurant by checking wether it's bathroom is clean, and a modern society by it's prisons. His constitutional and international rights of expression are being violated - out of someone's convenience -, and contrasts to that of Karla Homolkas'. Addressing these issues is paramount for the necessary revision of the plea bargain, i.e. to get to know what really happened. Favorite Quotes:
"Always forgive your enemies - nothing annoys them so much." Oscar Wilde "First degree murder is the murder of a police officer, or a prison guard, or somebody who works in---like that. Or, it's a murder that is planned prior. Or it's a murder that happens in a commission of another felony offence. Like if you are robbing a store and somebody gets killed. Even if it's not intentional. It's first degree murder because it happened in the commission of a robbery, or in a kidnapping, or you know." Karla Homolka (after her release) "So what?" -President W Bush, responding to a an ABC News correspondent who pointed out that Al Qaeda wasn't a threat in Iraq until after the U.S. invaded, Dec. 14, 2008 My serious comment: On FBI:s most wanted, Bin Laden (nr 2) is still not suspected of the Sept. 11 horrors. http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/terrorists/terbinladen.htm "You should worry about the day That the pain it goes away You know I miss mine sometimes There is no fiction That will truly fit the situation I'm documenting every detail Every conversation " Bono, 2004
